Community Advisory Committees
Our neighborhood approach means we commit to specific neighborhoods for years at a time, partnering with residents to make sure our work reflects each area’s history, strengths and goals.
Prior to the launch of our work in each target community, RTN team members spent months listening to Nashvillians in both areas at churches and community centers, and working with neighborhood leaders to build trust with the residents of the two communities, and to deeply understand local priorities and needs.
These neighborhood leaders became the two groups we now call Community Advisory Committees(CACs). These groups help inform RTN’s homeowner engagement, as well as the type of community partnerships we prioritize to best serve all the needs of our clients and their neighbors.
We host monthly dinners that are open to all residents in our target communities, and if you’re there you’re a community advisor! However, to help us have a greater reach to longtime neighbors, we rely on a group of community leaders to help us communicate when and where CAC events will be held as well as spread information about community resources RTN has to share.
