Home Repairs
Safe & Healthy Home Improvement Program
RTN’s flagship Safe and Healthy Home Improvement Program (SHHIP) addresses critical health and safety hazards present in the homes of low-income older adults, Veterans, and those living with disabilities. We use a 25 point Safe and Healthy Home Priority Checklist, designed in collaboration with the National Center for Healthy Housing to assess the needs of each home we work on to make sure our repairs focus on improvements that will make homes safer and healthier for all residents.
Rebuilding Together Nashville provides critical home repairs using skilled contractors for households who meet our eligibility criteria

Beginning after the Nashville floods of 2010, RTN joined the Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) to assist Nashville residents in need of critical home repairs as a result of extreme-weather related home damage. Over the years, RTN has helped Nashville recover from a number of major severe weather events including the tornadoes of 2020 and 2023.
SHHIP Codes Remediation
Rebuilding Together Nashville partners with Metro Environmental Court to assist individuals throughout Davidson County cited with outstanding codes violations. Through a court referral process, RTN works with eligible homeowners to remediate codes violations, relieving Nashville residents of ongoing fines and court dates.
