Our Impact

Through our Safe and Healthy Home Improvement and Disaster Recovery Programs, Rebuilding Together Nashville has been able to repair nearly 200 homes since the 2020 launch of our Target Community Initiative. That means our team has provided critical repairs for an average of 3 homes every month, helping each family we serve remain safely in the homes and communities they love for generations to come.

    Every person RTN is able to serve is another Nashvillian who can remain rooted in their communities. Many of the homeowners we serve themselves serve as caretakers for children or other family members. By taking care of our homeowners, we help them continue to pour into their families and communities for years to come.

    On average, RTN spends $25,000 per home repair project, which means we can repair up to 12 homes for the average price of building one new construction single family home.

    We assess each home we repair using a 25 point Safe and Healthy Home Priority Checklist developed in partnership with health professionals based on evidence backed environmental health research. This ensures we can prioritize repairs that will have the greatest impact on the well-being Nashville residents.

    Because a healthy home is only one part of what makes a neighborhood feel like home, Rebuilding Together Nashville partners with community members to understand the places that build and serve communities that may need costly repairs but lack the funds to complete them on their own.
